As President Chris Ball put it "We are $700.00 up!"
In 5 hours today (roughly 8am to 2pm), Chris B., Chris Y., Ian, Jason D. and Tad netted over $700.00 for the Auto Tech Club by selling *lots* of water and soda. Yes, believe it or not, people (including me) still dring soda. OMG the shame! Sorry.
Okay, back to the flea market. I had a blast hangin' with you 5 today. I really did. It gave me a chance to get to know 5 great young men, 3 of which will be my students in a few weeks. I learned that many of these 5 live/eat/breathe cars and as far as I'm concerned, there's no othere "peeps" that I'd rather hang with.
I would highly recommend that each and every one of you work a flea market this year. It gives each of you a great chance to meet eachother away from the friendly confines of the Auto Tech Building. Also, there was talk today of maybe bringing back "burger" in the colder months. As far as the warmer months, selling water and soda is as Jason D. would say "hella easy". It really is. It's almost too easy.
If any of you are interested in working a flea market, we are having another one in October and hopefully a few more this school year.
Good stuff. Easy work, and a good time! I'm hoping that the rest of the year goes as smoothly as Saturday. Looking forward to October, and remember...."Two hands and two feet are mine!" :D
